Class Descriptions (2015)

Intensive Course (Current SAT)
(60 Hours)

Our intensive course provides thorough coverage of both substantive and strategic SAT preparation. Students are given ample opportunities to practice their new knowledge. Daily homework assignments are given, with flexible options provided to students with less free time. There are typically 5-10 students per class. Classes will focus on developing the best test-taking strategies while also reinforcing concepts in mathematics, critical reading, and writing. In addition, the course offers students frequent opportunities to practice under realistic test conditions. Most of the Intensive courses are held during summer break.

Intensive Course (New SAT)
(60 Hours)

For mostly younger students looking for a head start on the SAT. Like the Intensive Course, our three-week summer course for the new SAT provides intensive and thorough coverage of both substantive and strategic SAT preparation for the new SAT test. Those who begin preparation for the SAT at an early age very often prove more successful than those who begin preparing later, and thus this class will no doubt prove valuable to young students aiming for impressive SAT results. Class material is specific to the new SAT test for students writing in 2016 or later. There are typically 5-10 students per class.

Regular Course
(32 hours)

There are two formats to the regular course: (a) 4-hour classes lasting eight sessions; and (b) 2-hour classes lasting sixteen sessions. The course seeks to provide a general overview of both test content and strategy. In order to maximize the effectiveness of class time, students are given homework assignments at the end of each class. Additional optional homework assignments are also provided.

Crash Course
(20 hours)

The Crash Course provides a condensed overview of test content and strategy. The class will review the math, reading, and grammar concepts tested by the SAT. Students will also be introduced to the most effective and best test-taking methods. Guided by the instructor, students will discuss and develop longer-term study schedules to structure their test preparation after the end of the course.
