Our NYC SAT courses provide an engaging group class format for SAT preparation. Our course instructors are experts in teaching the most effective strategies for all three sections of the SAT in a group setting. As graduates of some of the best colleges and universities, they have all scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and provide firsthand knowledge of the competitive college admissions process. Most important, they are passionate, skilled teachers, dedicated to creating a supportive classroom environment for all students to maximize their personal improvement on this exam.
Our courses are carefully designed to provide a balance of guided instruction, collaborative discussion, small group and teamwork, and realistic practice opportunities through mock exams. In each course, students learn the best strategies for each question type, practice working efficiently under timed conditions, and develop a personal study plan for the SAT. Unlike other companies, we limit our student-teacher ratio to 10 students per instructor-- if a class is larger than 10 students, we add a second instructor to ensure that the students continue to receive personalized attention. We use only the most thorough and accurate resources for instruction and practice materials.

Our NYC intensive course is our most thorough format for group class preparation. This format is ideal for students beginning their SAT preparation, or for students who would like a complete review of the exam. Each class includes a thorough introduction to both the content and the most effective strategies for the math, reading, and writing sections of the SAT. Ample time for group work, individual work, and timed practice is built into the class schedule, and students have the opportunity to take 4 full-length practice exams. Additional homework exercises reinforce the material covered during class, with flexibility for students with busy home schedules. Our intensive courses meet daily for 3 weeks during the summer, or weekly on Saturdays or Sundays during the academic year.
Our NYC regular course is a shorter alternative to our intensive course, ideal for students who would like a less intense introduction or review for the SAT. The course provides a solid overview of the content and most effective strategies for all three sections of the exam (reading, writing, and math). A mixture of in-class practice exercises and take-home assignments are provided to reinforce new concepts and practice under timed conditions. In order to track progress, students take a shortened SAT exam on the first day of class and a full-length practice test on the last day of class. Our regular courses meet Monday-Thursday for two weeks during the summer, or weekly on Saturdays or Sundays during the academic year.
Our NYC crash course provides our most condensed group class format for the SAT. This format is perfect for students who have time constraints or would like to work at an accelerated pace. Our crash course provides a condensed review of the reading, writing, and math content on the SAT, plus an introduction to the most effective strategies for each section. Daily homework exercises are assigned to provide practice opportunities and reinforce new material. In-class practice tests include a shortened SAT exam on the first day of class and a full-length practice test on the last day of class. Students work with the instructor to develop a longer-term study plan for their preparation beyond the end of the class. Our crash courses meet daily for one week during the summer, or weekly on Saturdays or Sundays during the academic year.
This book includes 10 official practice tests from the College
Board, the maker of the SATs. It is the only guide on the market
that has real SAT questions and is, in our opinion, the best guide
with which to practice and prepare for the test. Other companies
claim to have their own proprietary prep material. This is purely a
marketing ploy as those questions have neither been rigorously tested
nor designed by the official test makers.
Barron's guide provides a thorough, straightforward overview of
the concepts tested for each of the three sections of the SAT. While
we rely on practice tests from the true testmakers, we supplement
those test questions with comprehensive review of tricky test material.
Study Guide by Ivy Global
Our study guide, developed by our most experienced instructors, provides
valuable supplemental SAT preparation material including effective
strategies and sample questions for every section of the SAT. Math
and writing skills sections are thoroughly reviewed. It also provides
a complete vocabulary list, including basic and challenging word
lists, and the 500 Most Important Words.
In addition to the materials above, the instructors will provide customized
materials for each course to provide advanced tips and strategies for
each section of the SAT. Feel free to call us at 1-888-588-7955 regarding any questions about our New York SAT courses.
